Hystorical synonym: Bacillus aneurinolyticus Aoyoma (1952).
0.8-1.0 / 3.0-5.0 μm, motile peritrichously and abundant flagellated, Gram-positive.
Spores are ellipsoidal, subterminal or terminal, swelling the sporangium (variable).
Maximum growth temperature 50 ºC, minimum 20 ºC.
Does not grow at pH 5.7.
No growth in anaerobic agar.
No growth in 5% NaCl or in 10% NaCl .
Isolated from human feces. Resistant to lysozyme.
Unknown.

Positive results for catalase, nitrates reduction, decomposition of tyrosine and decomposition of thiamine.
Negative results for citrate utilization, decomposition of casein, indole production, starch hydrolysis, Voges-Proskauer reaction,
acid production from glucose, mannitol, arabinose and xylose.
