et al. 2007.
Species description is based on a single strain.
Gram-positive, 0.8-1.6 x 2.6-4.8 µm. Motile by peritrichous flagella. Produce round,
subterminal spores, deforming the cells.
Colonies are cream, round and smooth, after 3-5 days of incubation at 30 ºC. Grows
at 25-40 ºC (optimum temperature, 30 ºC) and at pH values of 7.1 to 9.1 (optimum pH,
8.4). Strictly aerobic.
Isolated from soil underlying the decaying leaf litter of a slash pine forest located in south east Queensland, Australia.
Undetermined.
