Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive, straight, round-ended rods, 0.6-0.8 x 2.5-3.0 µm, occurring singly and in
pairs. Motile. Produce terminally, spherical endospores in swollen sporangia.
Growth occurs at temperature range of 15-37 ºC (optimum, 28 ºC), pH 6.0-9.0
(optimum, pH 7.5) and in the presence of 0-2% (w/v) NaCl (optimum 2% NaCl).
Aerobic; anaerobic growth is weak.
Isolated from a forest soil sample collected in Ailaoshan National Nature Reserve, Yunnan province, China.
Undetermined.
