Gram-negative rods. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are moist, shiny, yellow and non-haemolytic. Grows on MacConkey agar
and on BCSA. Grows at 30-37 ºC, but not at 42 ºC. Aerobic.
Isolated from haemodialysis water and soil in Argentina.

Positive results for beta-galactosidase, esculin hydrolysis, lysine decarboxylase,
oxidase, acid production from glucose, mannitol, lactose and xylose.
Can assimilate L-arabinose, adipate, caprate, citrate, glucose, gluconate, malate,
mannose, mannitol, N-acetylglucosamine and phenylacetate.
Negative results for arginine dihydrolase, nitrate reduction, ornithine decarboxylase and urease.
No assimilation of maltose.
Variable results for gelatin liquefaction.
