Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-negative rods, 0.3-0.4 x 1.1-1.4 μm. Non-motile.
Colonies on R2A medium were opaque-white colored and irregular-raised in shape
(2.1-5.3 mm) after incubation for 2 days at 30 ºC. Growth range 20–35 ºC (optimum 30
ºC), pH 5.5-10.5 (optimum pH 7.0), and 0–0.6 % NaCl. Grows on Nutrient Agar (NA)
and R2A but not on TSA, MacConkey agar, or Blood agar. Facultative anaerobe.
Isolated from the surface water of an artificial pond in Gyeonggi, Korea.
Resistant to ampicillin. Sensitive to erythromycin, streptomycin, and vancomycin.
Undetermined.

Description is based mostly on API 20NE, API 50CH, and API ZYM results.

Positive results for acid and alkaline phosphatase, catalase, chitin hydrolysis, esterase (C4), esterase lipase (C8), alpha-
glucosidase, leucine arylamidase, nitrate reduction to nitrite, oxidase, Tween 20 and 80 hydrolysis, valine arylamidase, cystine
arylamidase and naphtol-AS-BI-phosphohydrolase.
Can assimilate D-glucose, glycogen, maltose and 5-ketogluconate.

Negative results for arginine dihydrolase, casein hydrolysis, CM-cellulose hydrolysis, esculin hydrolysis, alpha-fucosidase,
beta-glucuronidase, beta-glucosidase, alpha-mannosidase, indole production, trypsin, alpha-chymotrypsin, urease and acid
production from glucose.
No assimilation of  N-acetyl-glucosamine, gluconate, saccharose, trehalose, starch, D-fructose, D-mannose, mannitol, arbutin,
esculin, salicin, erythritol, D- and L-arabinose, ribose, D- and L-xylose, adonitol, alpha-methyl-xyloside, galactose, L-sorbose, dulcitol,
alpha-methyl-D-mannose, methyl alpha-D-glucoside, lactose, inulin, melezitose, D-raffinose, xylitol, D-turanose, D-lyxose,
D-tagatose, D- and L-fucose, D- and L-arabitol, and 2-ketogluconate.
