Chitinimonas, Chitinimonas naiadis Padakandla and Chae 2017.
Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-negative rods, 2.0-4.0 / 0.54 μm. Motile by a single polar flagellum.
Colonies on tryptone soy agar are circular and convex, with entire margins. Grows at
pH 7.0-7.5 (optimum 7.0) and at temperature 15-35 ºC (optimum 30 ºC). NaCl is not
required for growth but can tolerate NaCl concentrations up to 0.5% (w/v). Aerobe.
Isolated from a water sample collected from Yeongsan river, Republic of Korea.
Resistant to amoxicillin, clindamycin, vancomycin, trimethoprim, fusidic acid, lincomycin, rifamycin SV, aztreonam, and linezolid.
Sensitive to gentamicin, cephalexin, meropenem, tetracycline, erythromycin, tylosin, ciprofloxacin, sulfamethoxazole, and fosfomycin.
Undetermined.
