Gram-negative short rods, 0.8 x 1.2-2.2 μm, occuring in single, in pairs or in short
chains. Motile.
After 24 h of incubation on TSA at 30 ºC, colonies are round (sometimes with a slightly
scalloped margin), smooth, convex, transparent and about 0.5 mm diameter. Grows
at 4, 20, 30 and 37 ºC, but not at 41 ºC.
Isolated from a fixed-bed reactor with 2,6-dichlorophenol as the sole carbon and energy source.

80, acetic acid, L-asparagine, L-aspartic acid, L-glutamic acid, beta-hydroxybutyric acid, DL-lactic acid, methylpyruvate, L-proline,
L-pyroglutamic acid and succinic acid.

Negative results for arginine dihydrolase, esculin hydrolysis, gelatin hydrolysis, alpha-fucosidase alpha- and beta-glucosidase,
alpha- and beta-galactosidase, beta-glucuronidase, N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase, indole production, lysine decarboxylase, lipase
(C14), alpha-mannosidase, nitrate reduction (one strain was positive), nitrite reduction, protease, phenylalanine deaminase, starch
hydrolysis, Tween 80 hydrolysis, valine arylamidase, cystine arylamidase, trypsin alpha-chymotrypsin, urease (some strains show a
weak reaction after 48 h) and oxidative acid production from adonitol, D-ribose, inositol, mannitol, sorbitol, D- and L-arabinose,
mannose, dulcitol, raffinose rhamnose, melezitose, melibiose, inulin, sucrose, trehalose, maltose, cellobiose, glucose, lactose,
glycerol and  xylose.
