Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-negative rods, 0.4-0.6 µm x 0.9-1.3 μm. Motile by a single polar flagellum. Non-
spore-forming.
Colonies on R2A agar are white, circular and convex. Facultatively aerobic. Grows at
10-40 ºC (optimum, 30 ºC; no growth at 42 ºC), pH 4.0-10.0 (optimum, pH 7.0-7.5) and
with 0-4% (w/v) NaCl (optimum, 0-2%).
Isolated from forest soil on Jeju Island, South Korea.

No utilization of L-arabinose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N-acetylglucosamine, maltose and citric acid.
