Gram-negative curved rods, 0.4-0.5 x 0.6-1.8 μm. Non-motile.
Colonies grown on NSY agar are unpigmented, circular and convex with smooth
surfaces. Growth occurs at 4 ºC but not at 35 ºC. NaCl is not required for growth.
Maximum NaCl concentration tolerated is 0.2% (w/v).  Aerobic and anaerobic growth.
Isolated from Lake Sevan, Armenia.
