Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-negative rods, 0.4-0.7 x 1.4-2.8 μm. Motile by one polar flagellum. Non-spore-
forming.
Colonies are circular, convex and at first white and then become tawny with a
diameter of 0.5-1.5 mm after incubation on R2A agar for 2 days. Growth on R2A
occurs at 12-42 ºC, pH 4.0-8.5 and in the presence of 0-1.0% (w/v) NaCl. Optimum
growth occurs at 28-33 ºC, pH 4.5–5.5 and 0-0.5% (w/v) NaCl.
Isolated from forest soil sampled at Dinghushan Biosphere Reserve, Guangdong Province, China.
