Colonies are gray and nonhaemolytic on blood agar. Growth occurs at 15-45 ºC,
optimally at 30–37 ºC. Can grow in pH 5.5-9.0. Can grow in 1.0 % (w/v) NaCl but not in
3% NaCl. Aerobic. Anaerobic growth occurs in the presence of nitrate. Can grow on
EMB agar, but not on MacConkey agar.
