Colonies appear cream-coloured on agar medium. Growth temperature range 10-40
ºC, 27-32 ºC optimum. Range of pH 6.1-8.8 (optimum, 6.5-7.5). Can grow in 0-4.5 %
(w/v) NaCl (optimum, 0-0.5%). Grows in medium R2A agar.

Susceptible to ampicillin, chloramphenicol and nalidixic acid. Resistant to penicillin-G and rifampicin.
