Gram-negative rods, 0.5-1.0 x 1.0-3.0 µm with rounded ends. Usually motile by
means of peritrichous flagella. Occur alone, in pairs, sometimes in chains.
S-type colonies. Growth temperature 36 ºC. Facultatively anaerobic.
Isolated from soft rot and wilt of Chrysanthemum spp.,Cynara scolymus, Cichorium intybus, Helianthus annuus, Lycopersicon
esculentum, Parthenium argentatum and Philodendron spp.
Causes vascular wilts or soft rots on a range of host plants.
