Gram negative, straight bacilli, motile by peritrichous flagella. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies on YPDA medium,after 48 h at 28 ºC, are 2 mm, circular white, well-domed
and opaque. Facultatively anaerobic.
Isolated from necrotic symptoms of leaves and branches of Pyrus pyrifolia cv. ' Shingo '.
Produces leaf and steb blight of pears.

D-ribose, L-arabinose, glycerol, myo-inositol, D-mannitol, D-sorbitol, L-malate, N-acetyl-D-glucosamine, D-gluconate, succinate,
fumarate, L-glutamate, and L-proline

Negative results for arginine dihydrolase, indole production, lysin decarboxylase, ornithine decarboxylase, phenylalanine deaminase,
pectinase, oxidase, urease, acid production from inulin, lactose, methyl alpha-glucoside, melibiose, D-arabitol, D-arabinose or
raffinose.
No utilization of  D-mannose, D-sorbose, alpha-D-melibiose, D-raffinose, maltotriose, maltose, alpha-lactose, lactulose, methyl
beta-galactopyranoside, D-cellobiose, beta-gentiobiose, aesculin, D-xylose, palatinose, alpha-L-rhamnose, alpha-L-fructose,
D-melibiose, D- and L-arabitol, xylitol, dulitol, D-tagatose, maltitol, D-turanose, adonitol, hydroxyquinoline beta-glucuroside, 3-methyl
D-glucopyranoside, D-saccharate, mucate, L- and D-tatrate, mesotartrate, D-malate, trans-aconitate, tricarballylate, D-glucuronate,
