Gram-positive rods, 0.6-1.0 / 0.8-2.2 µm. Non-motile. Non-spore-forming.
Grows on MRS agar at: 10-39 ºC (37 ºC + optimum), pH 5-9 (pH 7 optimum), 0-3%
NaCl. Facultative anaerobic.
Isolated from mini-pig (Sus scrofa domesticus) cecum.

Positive results for acid phosphatase, aesculin hydrolysis, alpha-fucosidase, alpha-glucosidase, leucine arylamidase,  
N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase, naphthol-AS-BI-phosphohydrolase, esterase lipase (C8), valine arylamidase, fermentation of:
amygdalin, arbutin,  cellobiose, aesculin, D-fructose, galactose, gentiobiose, glucose, N-acetylglucosamine, lactose, maltose,
mannose, salicin, starch, D-tagatose and trehalose.

Negative results for alkaline phosphatase, catalase, cystine arylamidase, alpha-galactosidase, beta-galactosidase,
beta-glucuronidase, beta-glucosidase, indole production, esterase (C4), lipase (C14),  alpha-mannosidase, trypsin,
alpha-chymotrypsin, urease, fermentation of: adonitol, D- and L-arabinose, D- and L-arabitol, dulcitol, erythritol, D- and L- fucose,
gluconate, 2- and 5-ketogluconate, glycerol, glycogen, inositol, inulin, D-lyxose, mannitol, melezitose, melibiose, methyl
