Gram-positive rods, 0.5-0.6 / 1.0-2.1 μm, occurring singly or in pairs. Non-motile.
Colonies are ream-white, convex, 1-2 mm in diameter after 72 h of incubation on MRS
agar under anaerobic conditions. Grows at 10-43 ºC, optimally at 37 ºC, at pH 5.0-9.0,
optimally at pH 7.5 and in 0.0-4.0% NaCl, optimally in 0.5% NaCl. Facultatively
anaerobic.
Isolated from the gut of honeybee (Apis cerana), South Korea
Sensitive to tetracycline, rifampicin, penicillin G, neomycin, novobiocin, lincomycin, erythromycin, ceftazidime and carbenicillin.
Resistant to vancomycin.
Undetermined.
