Gram-positive rods, 0.8-1.1 x 1.8-4,7 µm, occurring single or in pairs. Non-motile.
Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are ivory, opaque, umbonate, glistening, 1-2 mm in diameter after 48 h
incubation on MRSF agar (MRS with 20 g/l fructose) under anaerobic conditions.
Grows at 5-50 ºC (optimum 30 ºC). Can grow in pH 3.5-8.0 (optimum pH 5.0) and in
0-7.5% NaCl. Facultatively anaerobic. Obligately fructophilic.
Isolated from a flower of a slender honey-myrtle (Melaleuca gibbose), Australia.
Undetermined.
Heterofermentative.
Description is based mostly on API 50 CHL (14 days) and API ZYM (bioMerieux) results.
