Gram-positive rods, 0.4-0.6 x1.0-1.2 µm, occurring singly or in pairs. Non-motile.
Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are beige, convex, smooth with entire margins, 0.5 mm in diameter after 3
days at 30 ºC on mMRS agar. Can grow at 37 ºC (30 ºC optimum); no growth at 45 ºC.
Grows at pH 5.0, but not at pH 11.0. Grows weakly in 6.0% NaCl media; not in 6.5%
NaCl. Facultative anaerobic.
Isolated from traditional pickle, China. Tellurite tolerant .
