Gram-positive rods, 2.0-2.5 µm. Non-spore-forming. Motile.
Colonies are smooth, white to grey, flat, small, 0.5 mm in diameter after 2 days of
anaerobic incubation at 37 ºC on Columbia agar supplemented with 5% sheep blood.
Grows at 30-40 ºC, optimally at 37 ºC. Grows at pH 4.0-8.0 and in 0-2% NaCl media.
Microaerophilic.
Isolated from urine of healthy women.
Undetermined.

Descripion is based on API 50 CHL, API ZYM, and API 20A results.
Species can be differentiated from
Limosilactobacillus urinaemulieris by lack of L-arabinose fermentation and negative activity of
esterase lipase and naphthol-AS-BI-phosphohydrolase.

Positive results for acid phosphatase, esterase (C4), alpha-galactosidase, beta-galactosidase, leucine arylamidase, fermentation of
L-arabinose.

Negative results for alkaline phosphatase, cystine arylamidase, catalase, esterase lipase (C8), alpha-fucosidase gelatin hydrolysis,
alpha-glucosidase, beta-glucosidase, beta-glucuronidase, N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase, naphthol-AS-BI-phosphohydrolase, lipase
(C14), alpha-mannosidase, oxidase, trypsin, alpha-chymotrypsin, urease, valine arylamidase,  fermentation of adonitol, amygdalin,
arbutin, D-arabinose, D-  and L-arabitol, cellobiose, dulcitol, erythritol, esculin, L- and D-fucose, D-fructose, galactose, gentiobiose,
glucose, gluconate, 2- and 5-ketogluconate, glycerol, glycogen, N-acetylglucosamine, inositol, inulin, lactose, D-lyxose, maltose,
mannitol, mannose, melezitose, melibiose, methyl alpha-D-glucopyranoside, methyl alpha-D-mannopyranoside, methyl
alpha-D-xyloside, raffinose, rhamnose, ribose, salicin, sorbitol, L-sorbose, starch, sucrose, D-tagatose, trehalose, turanose, xylitol,
