Oliphant et al. 2022.
Gram-positive rods, 0.9-1.2 / 2.4-6.3 μm, occurring singly or in pairs. Non-motile.
Nonspore-forming.
Colonies are beige, opaque, raised, glistening, 1-3 mm in diameter after incubation
on MRSF agar (MRS with 20 g/l fructose) under anaerobic conditions. Grows at 17-37
ºC, optimally at 30 ºC, at pH 4.0-7.0, optimally at pH 6.8 and in 0-0.5% NaCl, optimally
in 0% NaCl. Facultatively anaerobic. Obligately fructophilic.
Isolated from the sugarbag bee (Tetragonula carbonaria), an Australian stingless bee species.
Undetermined.
