Gram-positive rods, 0.9-1.0 / 2.5-3.0 µm. Non-motile. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are white, convex, smooth and 1.2 mm in diameter after 2 days of aerobic
incubation at 37 ºC on MRS agar. Non-haemolytic. Grows at: 10-50 ºC (40 ºC
optimum), pH 3.5-10 (pH 7.0 optimum), 0-8% NaCl. Facultative anaerobic.
Isolated from an Austrian corn silage.
