Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive cocci. Endospores are not formed. Nonmotile. Nonencapsulated.
Colonies are orange-red pigmented. Growth can occur in 15% NaCl; however, NaCl
is not required for growth. Growth is detected at 30-40 ºC and pH 6.5-9.5. Aerobic.
Isolated from air samples from Xinjiang, China. Sensitive to kanamycin, ampicillin, carbenicillin, chlortetracycline and erythromycin.
Undetermined.
