Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive bent rods, changing into coccoid shaped cells. Non-motile.
Colonies are circular, opaque, convex and cream-coloured on modified T5 agar.
Growth occurs at 10–37 ºC (optimum, 28 ºC), pH 5.0–9.0 (optimum, pH 7.0) and in 0-
7% NaCl.Good growth on LB agar, YDC, PYES and TYB medium. Aerobic.
Isolated from the a soil sample collected from Catba island in Halong Bay, Vietnam.

Can utilize as sole carbon source N-acetyl-glucosamine, L-arabinose, (weakly), D-glucose, malic acid, D-maltose, D-mannitol,
D-mannose, phenylacetic acid, acetic acid, acetoacetic acid, gamm-aminobutryric acid, D-cellobiose, dextrin, D-fructose, D-galactose,
gentiobiose, D-gluconic acid, alpha-D-glucose, D-glucuronic acid, glycerol, p-hydroxy-phenylacetic acid, beta-hydroxy-D,L butyric acid,
inosine, alpha-D-lactose, D-malic acid, D-maltose, D-mannose, D-melibiose, beta methyl-D-glucoside, propionic acid, quinic acid,
D-raffinose, D-salicin, stachyose, sucrose, D-trehalose and D-turanose.

Negative results for catalase, casein hydrolysis, N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase, alpha-chymotrypsin, cystine arylamidase,
alpha-fucosidase, alpha- and beta-galactosidase, beta-glucosidase, H2S production, lipase, alpha-mannosidase,
naphthol-ASBI-phosphohydrolase, methyl red, nitrate reduction, oxidase, starch hydrolysis, tryptophan deaminase
, Tween 20, 40, 60
and 80 hydrolysis,  trypsin, urease, valine arylamidase, and Voges-Proskauer test.
No utilization of capric acid, gluconate, potassium adipic acid, trisodium citrate, D-arabitol, bromo-succinic acid, citric acid, formic
acid, D-fructose-6-phosphate, D- and L-fucose, D-galacturonic acid, L-galactonic acid lactone, gelatin, D-glucose-6-phosphate,
