Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive bent rods, changing into coccoid shaped cells. Non-motile.
Colonies are circular, opaque, convex and cream-coloured on modified T5 agar.
Growth occurs at 10–37 ºC (optimum, 28 ºC), pH 5.0–9.0 (optimum, pH 7.0) and in 0-
7% NaCl.Good growth on LB agar, YDC, PYES and TYB medium. Aerobic.
Isolated from the a soil sample collected from Catba island in Halong Bay, Vietnam.

Negative results for catalase, casein hydrolysis, N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase, alpha-chymotrypsin, cystine arylamidase,

naphthol-ASBI-phosphohydrolase, methyl red, nitrate reduction, oxidase, starch hydrolysis, tryptophan deaminase, Tween 20, 40, 60
and 80 hydrolysis, trypsin, urease, valine arylamidase, and Voges-Proskauer test.
