Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive bent rods, 0.5-0.9 x 1.8-3.6 μm. Non-motile.
Colonies are circular, convex, pale yellow and 1.0-2.0 mm in diameter after 2 days
cultivation at 28
ºC on LB agar. Growth occurs at 17-41 ºC (optimum 28 ºC), pH 6.0–
8.0 (optimum pH 7.0) and NaCl concentration of 0-5% (w/v) (optimum 0% NaCl.
Aerobic.
Isolated from the rhizosphere soil of Panax notoginseng in Wenshan district, Yunnan province of China.
Sensitive to guanidine HCl, lithium chloride, niaproof 4 and tetrazolium-blue; resistant to 1% sodium lactate, nalidixic acid, aztreonam,
sodium butyrate, potassium tellurite.
Undetermined.
