Bisgaardia,
Bisgaardia hudsonensis Foster et al. 2011,  type species of the genus.
Gram-negative, pleomorphic rods. Non-motile.
Colonies on CSBA are circular, entire, low convex, smooth, grey and attain a diameter
of 0.5 mm after 48 h of aerobic incubation at 37 ºC. Non-haemolytic. Growth occurs on
media without blood or serum. Growth occurs at 22 ºC, but not at 42 ºC. Does not
grow on MacConkey agar. Facultatively anaerobic.
Isolated from lungs and other tissues of seals.
Pathological significance is unknown.
