Gram-negative rods, 1.6-5 µm in length. Motile by a single polar flagellum.
Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are fluorescent on King’s B agar, approximately 3 mm in diameter, circular
and convex with an entire margin. Grows at  15-30 ºC (optimum 28 ºC), optimum pH
7.5 and in 0-8% NaCl. Aerobic.
Isolated from bean rhizosphere. No plant growth promotion effects when tested on maize or Arabidopsis plants.

Negative results for esculin hydrolysis, gelatin hydrolysis, beta-galacosidase, indole production, nitrate reduction, urease and acid
