Phylum Pseudomonadota (Proteobacteria), Class Gammaproteobacteria, Order Pseudomonadales, Family Pseudomonadaceae,
Genus Pseudomonas, Pseudomonas cremoricolorata Uchino et al. 2002.
Gram-negative, 0.8 x 1.6 μm, rods with rounded end. Motile with polar flagella.
Endospores are not formed. Do not accumulate granules of poly-beta-hydroxybutyrate.
Colonies on nutrient agar are smooth, entire, flat to convex, and creamy yellow (water
insoluble pigment). Pyocyanin is not produced. Growth occurs at 4 ºC but not at 37 ºC.
Growth does not occur at pH 3.6. Aerobic.
Grows on media: Nutrient Agar or Tryptic Soy Agar.
Isolated from rice and other plants (cereals).
