Phylum Pseudomonadota (Proteobacteria), Class Gammaproteobacteria, Order Pseudomonadales, Family Pseudomonadaceae,
Genus Pseudomonas, Pseudomonas danubii Mulet et al. 2023.
Gram-negative rods, 0.5-1.3 x 1.9-2.5 µm. Motile by one or two polar flagella.
Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are visible after 24 h incubation at 30 ºC on LB agar. Fluorescent pigment is
produced in King’s B medium. Grows at pH of 5 to 9 and in the range of 4 to 37 ºC
(optimum 30 ºC); no growth detected at 42 ºC. NaCl concentrations up to 6% (w/v) are
tolerated. Strictly aerobic.
Isolated from freshwater samples of the Danube and Woluwe rivers.
Undetermined.
