Description is based on API 20 NE, API ZYM and Biolog GN2 results.
Positive results for acid and alkaline phosphatase, catalase, cystine arylamidase, esterase (C4), esterase lipase (C8), lipase (C14),
leucine arylamidase, naphthol-ASBI-phosphohydrolase, oxidase and valine arylamidase.
Can utilize as sole carbon source: Tween 40, Tween 80, pyruvic acid methyl ester, succinic acid monomethyl-ester, acetic acid,
beta-hydroxybutyric acid, alpha-ketoglutaric acid, propionic acid, sebacic acid, succinic acid, bromosuccinic acid, L-alaninamide, D-
and L-alanine.
Can assimilate: capric acid, adipic acid and malic acid.
Negative results for alpha-chymotrypsin, alpha-fucosidase, alpha- and beta-galactosidase, alpha- and beta-glucosidase,
beta-glucuronidase, N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase, nitrate and nitrite reduction, alpha-mannosidase and trypsin.
No utilization of alpha-ketobutyric acid, citric acid, DL-lactic acid, L-glutamic acid, D-serine and L-threonine.

Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-negative rods, 0.7–0.9 x 1.6–1.8 μm. Motile by a monopolar flagellum.
Colonies are circular, undulate, convex and pale yellow after 2 days of incubation on
Nutrient Agar. In Nutrient Broth, can grow at 20-50 ºC, at pH 6.0-10.0, and can tolerate
up to 5% NaCl (w/v). Cannot grow under strictly anaerobic conditions.
Isolated from food-waste compost, in Taiwan.
Sensitive to amikacin, ciprofloxacin, colistin, ampicillin-sulbactam, gentamicin, imipenem, meropenem, ticarcillin-clavulanic acid,
ticarcillin clavulanic acid-pyo, ticarcillin-pyo, tobramycin and cotrimoxazole.
