Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-negative rods, 0.6-0.8 x 1.6-2.0 µm. Motile by two polar flagella.
Non-spore-forming.
Colonies grown on nutrient agar are circular, convex, beige to yellowish, translucent
and usually 1.5-2.0 mm in diameter within 2 days of growth at 28 ºC. Grows at
temperature range 5-31 ºC, at pH 5-11 and with 0-5 % NaCl in nutrient broth. A
diffusible fluorescent pigment is produced on King B medium. Strictly aerobic.
Isolated from a forest soil in Salamanca province, Spain.
