Phylum Pseudomonadota (Proteobacteria), Class Gammaproteobacteria, Order Pseudomonadales, Family Pseudomonadaceae,
Genus Pseudomonas, Pseudomonas mohnii Camara et al. 2007.
Gram-negative cells, nonspore-forming.
Colonies are circular and white-yellow on Luria Bertani agar, becoming mucoid after
2 days of incubation. Does not produce a fluorescent pigment on King’s B medium.
Optimal temperature 30 ºC. Does not grow at 41 ºC or in media supplemented with 5
or 7% NaCl.
Grows on media: Tripticase Soy Broth Agar, King’s B medium, Luria Bertani agar.
Isolated from sequencing batch reactor treating paper mill effluent, enrichment with isopimaric acid.
Unknown; isopimaric acid-degrading bacteria.
